Somerville anchors Somerset County: the courthouse is at 20 North Bridge Street and the Prosecutor's Office is up the block at 40 North Bridge Street. Somerset is in a vicinage it shares with Hunterdon and Warren, and its IDRC also serves Hunterdon residents. Raritan Valley Line trains from Somerville and Bound Brook reach Newark Penn. For domestic violence matters, DCF funds Safe + Sound Somerset, and Prevention Resources, Inc. is the county's Abuse Intervention Program provider. A stop in Bridgewater or Hillsborough starts in the municipal court that serves that town.
